Investigation Evidence Gathered

The fire investigators completed their evidence gathering at the house Friday afternoon.  They released the "scene" and now the interior clean up can be completed.  We should be hooked up tomorrow with a temporary electrical panel, but it won't be powered up until the inspection is done and PECO reconnects it.

The interior of the house is completely gutted except for the laundry room, powder room, sun room and the back wall of the kitchen (which also has the cabinets).  I believe the back wall and cabinets will also come down, but we are waiting for the official ruling by the adjuster.

We've set up our new internet connection at the guest house.  Not great, but I think we can live with it for a while. Life is starting to settle into "normal". I had to cut the grass on Saturday so that makes it feel more like our own.

We got a preliminary cost estimate from the insurance company's builder.  Not as much as I thought it would be, but still a lot of money. Our builder is finalizing his numbers and then the haggling begins.
